| Oscar H. Schomburg, Sr. 93, of Bellville, Texas, passed away, Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Kenny, Texas to William C. and Dora (Meier) Schomberg on January 22, 1917. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation where he maintained the highway signs. He had an avid love for fishing. Oscar married Annie Zettel on July 30, 1940 in Bellville, Texas. He was born, raised, and lived his entire life in Austin County. He was preseded in death by his parents; a daughter; Doris Jean Brown; a sister Elda Zettle and three brothers; George Schomburg, Paul Schomburg, and Herbert Schomburg. He is survived by two sons; Oscar H. Schomburg, Jr and wife Sybil of Spring Texas and Roger Schomburg and wife Becky of Ditmar, Missouri. Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. |
