Gertrude Julia Pilcik Krenek was born on January 26, 1923 as the 10th of 12 children to John Pilcik and Wilhemina Jochec Pilcik near Wallis, Texas and left this earth to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 9, 2012.She attended school in Bernard Prairie and was retired from Texas Instruments. She was a long time resident of Beasley, Texas and an active parishioner at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She was member of KJZT and the Altar Society. Gertrude loved flowers, animals, polka music, dominos, fishing and most of all her family. She is survived by her children, Carol Tondre of East Bernard, Wilfred Krenek and wife Kay of Houston, Thomas Krenek and wife Linda of Richmond, Betty Little and husband Joe of Rosenberg and George Krenek and wife Carrie of Sealy. She was the proud grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 21. She is also survived by one sister, Lillian Pilcik Ball of Houston and a sister-in-law Charlotte Pilcik Bucek of East Bernard and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
